1. Introduction
TravBreaks (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal data from users of our website, mobile application, and cab booking services (collectively, the “Services”).
This Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the circumstances under which we may share your information with third parties. By using the Services, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use the Services, and information from third parties where permitted by law.
Booking details: pickup and drop locations, trip date/time, itinerary details (if provided), passenger contact details, and preferences you submit.
Communication data: messages you send to support, feedback, complaints, survey responses, and any information you choose to share during calls or chats.
Identity/verification information (only if required by law, safety, fraud prevention, or partner requirements): limited identifiers and documents as requested through official channels.
B. Payment and transaction information
Payment status and transaction references (e.g., transaction ID/UTR), amount, date/time, and payment method type.
Billing/invoice details you provide (where applicable), including GST details if you request a GST invoice.
Card/bank/UPI credentials are typically processed by payment gateways and financial institutions; we may receive limited confirmation and tokenized references from such providers.
C. Location information
Pickup and drop locations you enter are used to create and fulfill bookings.
If you enable location permissions, we may collect your device’s location to improve pickup accuracy, show nearby options, support trip tracking, and enhance safety features. You can disable location permissions at any time in your device settings.
D. Information collected automatically
Device and technical data: IP address, device identifiers, device type, OS version, app version, browser type, language, and time zone.
Usage data: pages/screens viewed, clicks/taps, session duration, referral URLs, and interactions with features.
Transport Partners/Drivers may share trip execution details needed for service fulfillment and support (e.g., status updates, pickup completion, ride issues).
Payment providers may share confirmation or failure status and limited references needed to reconcile payments.
Analytics, security, and communication providers may share information as needed to provide services to us (subject to contractual safeguards).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate, improve, and secure the Services, including to:
Create and manage your account, authenticate users, and provide access to the Platform.
Process bookings, coordinate pickups and drops, and share necessary details with Drivers and Transport Partners to fulfill the ride.
Process payments, confirm transactions, generate receipts/invoices, and provide customer/agent support for payment issues.
Communicate with you about your bookings and account via SMS, WhatsApp, email, phone call, or in-app notifications (including OTPs and important service updates).
Provide customer support, handle grievances, resolve disputes, and improve service quality.
Improve safety, prevent fraud, detect suspicious activity, enforce policies, and comply with legal obligations.
Analyze usage trends, perform research and analytics, monitor performance, and improve features and user experience.
Send service-related announcements, and where permitted, promotional messages (you can opt out of marketing communications as described in Section 8).
4. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We may share your information only as needed to deliver the Services, comply with legal requirements, and protect our users and business. We do not disclose your personal information to unrelated third parties except as described below or with your consent.
A. Sharing with Drivers and Transport Partners
To fulfill a booking, we share relevant details such as pickup/drop locations, passenger contact information, trip timing, and booking identifiers with the assigned Driver/Transport Partner.
B. Sharing with service providers (processors)
We use third-party service providers to support our operations (e.g., hosting, communications, analytics, customer support tools, security, and payment processing). These providers process personal data on our behalf under contractual obligations and only for the purposes we specify.
Payment gateways and banking partners for processing transactions.
SMS/WhatsApp/email providers for sending OTPs and booking updates.
Cloud hosting, monitoring, and security providers.
Analytics providers to understand product performance and usage.
C. Agent/Corporate booking scenarios
If a booking is created by an Agent or Corporate coordinator on your behalf, relevant booking information may be shared with the Agent/Corporate account for booking management, billing, and support purposes.
D. Legal, compliance, and safety disclosures
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, court order, or governmental request; or when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms & policies, prevent fraud or security incidents, or protect the rights, safety, and property of users, partners, or TravBreaks.
E. Business transfers
If TravBreaks is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality safeguards.
F. Aggregated / de-identified data
We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you (e.g., usage trends, demand patterns, performance metrics).
5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., local storage, pixels, SDKs) to operate the Platform, remember preferences, improve user experience, analyze performance, and help with security.
Essential cookies: required for core functionality (login, security, session management).
Preferences cookies: remember settings such as language and basic preferences.
Analytics cookies: help us understand how users interact with the Platform and improve it.
Marketing/measurement cookies (where enabled): help measure campaigns and improve relevance.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and for legitimate business purposes, including maintaining records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and complying with legal obligations.
Booking and transaction records may be retained for accounting, audit, and compliance purposes.
Support communications may be retained to improve service quality and handle disputes.
When retention is no longer necessary, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely archive the information.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

Marketing preferences: you may opt out of promotional messages where provided; service/transactional messages may still be sent (e.g., OTP, booking updates).
Location permissions: you can enable/disable location permissions in device settings.

9. Children’s Privacy

Cancellation & Refund Policy

2. General Terms
Bookings can be cancelled via website, app, call, or email.
Cancellation must be done at least 24 hours before pickup.
If the trip is cancelled during travel, a 100% cancellation charge will apply.
3. Within-City Rides
Free cancellation if done 24 hours before pickup.
Cancellation within 24 hours may attract a 25% cancellation charge.
If the driver arrives and waits beyond the allowed time, the ride may be marked as a No-Show with a 100% charge.
4. Outstation Rides
Cancellation charges for outstation rides are as follows:

Final refund discretion lies with the transporter or cab owner.
5. Refund Policy
Eligible refunds will be credited to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
